About

I’ve spent nearly my entire life thinking about problem solving and design.

My early love for art, visual design, and coding, plus a childhood influenced by a pair of socially conscious parents, led me to a degree in Web Design & Engineering at university with deep roots in social justice movements. I started applying my skills to projects I cared about, but my desire to create solutions that were truly impactful wasn’t quenched. I dove into UX research, psychology, and human-centered product design, which fed my problem-solving intuition and lay the foundation for my love of breaking down complex systems and deeply understanding people’s needs.

I’ve been happily designing product solutions ever since with cross-functional teams at Common Sense Media, Endless Computers, and other mission-driven organizations and initiatives. I strive to use design to create lasting change and make technology user-friendly, accessible, and emotionally engaging.

I focus my design craft on deeply understanding the the problem space and the needs and motivations of our users (and doing exploratory research if needed), creating systems-level understanding of flows, and working with my team to define scope and vision. From there, I prototype solutions, test with users, and spend hours refining interactions, affordances and visual design to make the product accessible and resonant with users. I work closely with PMs and engineers to ensure we’re meeting business goals and engineering constraints.

When I’m not designing, I can be found happily swimming laps at my local YMCA 🏊🏻‍♀️, befriending my neighborhood dogs and learning about behavioral training 🐕, listening to podcasts 🎧, and trying every possible local breakfast burrito spot. 🌯
